The $30,000,000.00 eight-hour mini-series, which was produced by Italy's Lux Vide Studios, stars Brenda Blethyn, Malcolm McDowell and Clemence Poesy. The series' 11 week shoot on locations in Lithuania and Russia, is said to be the most expensive ever to have taken place in the Baltic region. This stunning production of "War and Peace", more than any other, explores the connections and parallels of characters, relationships and world events that shine a light on a changing world.
